I admit that my hand is tight with so many thing hence blogging has become a seldom/occasional/rare past time writings rather that a stimulating platform to churn new ideas or share my personal opinion on what's happening around me.

Furthermore, I have becoming more and more obsessed with Twitter, a more direct, articulate 140 characterize statement which is more real time and easy to handle; just the tip of my fingers. I am not giving any excuses here coz i also do compose  new blog entry via my blackberry but frankly speaking, blogging could take some of your time and my saying of time; means a lot! I have this kind of slight compulsive disorder; which means i read every line of my para, make sure there is no typo and i'll make sure i'll use the right word in whatever context message I want to convey to my audience. Yes, you can simply say, i am a half freak! (check how many mistake I intentionally left out!)

Having said that, I still love writing.. in fact, I used to have this dream of becoming a writer myself. hahah. Maybe I can make fun of myself and let other ppl have a laugh of me. Till then... let me be just the simple me.

Anyway, the past week have been quite a hectic yet memorable one. My sista wedding reception was held last Saturday and yours truly was the man behind the event. Yup.. I'm the man who will be held responsible if the majlis went wrong. Alhamdulilah, there are few hiccups here and there but the lesser it is, the few go unnoticed. Thanks to the great helps from the ppl around me in particular my love ones who always fresh with new ideas for the wedding. Fyi, the badges, the guest book, the programme , the tags are all her ideas and i m one who executed it with perfection of course. :) We had great time serving the guests and we do hope the guests were joy in return. For me, organising an event is always challenging but the most satisfying part is when all your plan worked accordingly. That would make your day. "Tak makan pun takpe, puas punya pasal, kenyang sampai petang."

On Sports,

Arsenal is back at its best. Having unbeaten run in 4 competition is good for the lads. Hoping some consistency to bring back glory to the Gunners. I hope Arsene knows best is really a fruitful bet and I do hope he will bring in some backup in this January transfer window to add depth to the squad.

In politics,

Malaysia never fade away when it comes to politics. Just about we are going to prepare for upcoming 13 GE which will be a 'do or die' battle between BN and PR, we are shocked with the death of another assemblymen. On top of that one assemblyman was disqualified as ADUN so it will make 3 by-election coming in your way. The Sarawak State Election is also coming; so what you could expect from both end?! More politicking, more character assasination, more political spin and in the end the rightly deserved rakyat who were left to decide their fate..

A much needed tirade during half time released the potential of young bhoys. They really turned into men when required. I have pity  to the Kops but in this big league, mercy only lead to crazy. We are now 6 pts behind lead leader with one game in hand. Arshavin was the detractor, only in his second game against Liverpool, he has scored 5 times. With his sublime trademark thunder shot, he was a class on his own. Arshavin was really in his element and the 3 points prove one thing.. "we are serious with the title.. and we will never give up". Go gunters Gunnerz!

update: after a good win on the weekend, Arsenal went back to sleep only managing a draw against the resilient Clarets. Now we are 8 points behind leader with one game in spare. What, u think we can win the spare game easily?! dream on arsene and the bhoys yet again! sigh


On domestic scene, Malaysian Football team had pull number of surprises by making to the final of SEA Games, Vientiane.  First, they beat the defending champion Thailand on the road to semis. During the semi final they have beaten host nation who had the whole nation behind them by quite a margin 3-1. Malaysia will then again play Vietnam whom they lost earlier in the group stage. No need to fear as the confidence in Malaysian contingent look high at the moment. Just play the game and enjoy the experience. This would be a good chance for the Malaysian to prove that we are still a powerhouse in ASEAN football. After 20 years hiatus, this could be our good chance for gold! go go power puff boys!

update: Malaysian Harimau Muda did Malaysia proud by bagging the gold medal after a 1 - 0 win against mighty Vietnam. It was fourth time hard luck for the Vietnam team as they were kept silence all night by the energetic Harimau Muda. It was refreshing to see all Malaysian come together once again for the moment and it come at the right time when we need extra tonic to move forward in football arena. I am proud to be associated with the young Malaysian team! Malaysia Boleh.


p/s: i hope the humility is still there to the taking, no need for some datukship hype in the making. They are fighters and should soldier on without too much politicking and media hype.

Malaysian Politics would never shorts of issue. From the internal crisis in MCA, MIC, PPP, PKR, PAS to name a few. It looked that the 'suara rakyat' for reformation once again being neglected due to power struggle amongst politician. However i must say one politician who stand tall out of the rest is Najib Tun Razak, I am no arse kissing chap (maybe something i do shit!) but the current workrate of Najib is much much better from the his predecessor, Tun Lah. Najib Razak seemed everywhere in the globe. One he was in his constituency, distributing cows for Qurban, another day he was celebrating eidul adha somewhere in Bahamas. Pheww.. that is some public officer which we want in our politician. With his 1 Malaysia concept plus the transformation in government look progressing, one could wonder what would be the downfall of Najib and his BN party. He is striving as much as he could but i reckon other cabinet members will emulate his desire and energy to serve the people. Time will tell.. after all as one of my closest aide  reminded me "every great leaders have great flaws." Najib would have his flaws (under the radar) too.

I remembered when i was circumcised. That was 20 years ago. I was the first to be circumcised amongst the six. In the beginning, it was all ok but once the anesthetic run dry... then come all the drama. We cried all night, struggling with pain cursing ourselves for letting ourself being cut! None of us understand that was the day when boys become man. Reminiscing the memory for all time sake was breathtaking and now seeing those little boys putting a brave face for an episodeof their life made the whole experience worth to be documented. Kudos to the boys. No pain no gain, Now you are real man! *wink wink*

My brother, Milla and myself has started our own biggest losers quest. Yes we are! For a start we are bound to pay RM1 per rice intake we consume on every meal session. As for now, Bangchik is leading the fine with RM12. I try to maintain a healthy diet but still short of having to pay RM5 fine for my rice. Milla seem unperturbed with rice and she is only at RM2 at this juncture. Again, league is not won in December, there will be month long to go when we will realise how much we have reduce our rice intake in order to lose some pounds. We are really in contention this time and hopefully by year end we will have ample fund to spend us a nice nasi beriyani kambing outings :P
ohh btw we have started our gym session too.. and i think we are seriyus this time.. ahahah.

Last Saturday I was at MCOBA Dinner by invitation of Suhaimi Sulaiman, a fellow old boys and anchor of Astro AWANI. It was a great get together between old boys of an institutional famous for her prodigal sons the likes of Tun Razak, Anwar Ibrahim et al. MCKK (or some people prefer calling M C gay gay) was a place close to every old boys' heart. We will do anything in the name of the school and proud to be associated to it. On that night we were even prouder to accolades Mr Liew; the first non malay member of the prestige MCOBA. His contribution to the excellence of Malay College BasketBall team is exceptional even the award could not match up. We hope he will pursue his passion  and let it be a true example of 1 Malaysia unity. For more story about Mr Liew, please go here

Rangkuman Cerita in One go - part iii

Many has been said about Judgement Day; the latest was in sort of movie. 2012 hit local cinemas last Thursday and it received quite number of reviews since opening day. Many believe that the Mayan Doomsday Prophecy is for real suggesting apocalyptic event such massive solar storms, flipping of the magnetic poles, earthquakes, super volcanoes, and more may occur in 2012. Even King Michael did mention about it during one of his footage rehearsal in 'This is it' movie. That illustrates how much the Mayan Prophecy influences our daily living irrespective to those who chose not to believe it. I have stop seeing such action disaster film since The Perfect Storm. The likes of  End of Days (2006), The Last Days on Earth (2008), Seven Signs of the Apocalypse did not excite me at all. It is not a fear factor; it is just these movies do not click me in any way. Contemplating myself to watch a movie about our world gone catastrophic in 2 hours is totally garbage. Even some of my peers thought the 2012 film is a direct insult to our Tun Mahathir's 2020 vision and London 2012 olympics, ahah.

After all the Event, The Inevitable shall occur whether we are prepared to face it or not as mention in the holy Quran, chapter 56.

I believe the description in Quran capture the truth about Judgement Day and what more important which classes shall we be sorted in. It is not as wildly captured by the imagination of  one Hollywood Director; Roland Emmerich whose credits include Independence Day (ID4), The Day After Tomorrow and Godzilla?!  hmm...

In the football scene,

Many world cup 2010 qualifying play-off  being played all over the world. In Europe qualifiers, 8 teams battled each other out for the last 4 spots in next year's world cup. It looks like France, Portugal and Russia are in the driver's seat after a slightest advantange from the first leg playoff. However, as world cup qualifier is never short of upsets; teams like Slovenia, Ireland and Bosnia or even Ukraine still look promising to go through. My fingers cross for Bosnia to upset Portugal and let our FIFA world's player Ronaldo rotting at home in Lisbon. :b

New Zealand 'All Whites' also made history paving way to the finals since 1982 after defeating Bahrain in another Asia/Oceania qualifier play-off. It seems a blessing in disguise for the Oceanic Champion after Australia  parted way with the Oceanic Zones and join Asian Football Confederation (AFC) last year. Indeed the Socceroos also successful in their quest to the world cup next year thus making 2 Oceanic nations qualified. How sweet can it be, one neighbouring nation sacrifices is another nation gains. How I'd wish our Malaysia and its neighbour Singapore can be built around this philasophy or has we actually incorporated it as mention by our famous Che Det  with the latter always got an upper hand? sigh.

Apart from qualifying play-off, many international friendlies also being organised with Eng vs Bra and Spa vs Arg took centre stage. Results was not important for this meaningless friendlies. The direct benificiaries are media and FA's with live telecast rights and match ticket moneys. The losers are obviously club managers and fanatic football fans who miss watching club football over the weekend. Some concern issue during international friendlies is player gone back to their respective club out injured after their international duties. This is bad for football club who are eyeing for championship silverware. One true example is Arsenal.

Arsenal lost v persie in last weekend international friendly. The striker is going to be sidelined for torn ankle ligament up to 6 weeks. That is not positive for a club whose gunning for the championship at the end of the season. With a tight schedules coming and meeting Chelsea in 2 weeks, Arsene Wenger wont take this news lightly. Even though Chelsea have their best player such Lampard, Terry, Drogba also on treatment table but losing arguably your best striker during November is such a bitter pill to swallow for Wenger and he need to tweak his 4-3-3 formation to suit best this difficult time. Again, one striker injury is another striker gains. Eduardo have his opportunity to shine or maybe pair up with Arshavin for more typical English 4-4-2 formation. In Arsene we put our trust again.

The last 10 days of Ramadhan is a blessing for all ummah. I prayed all of us will be blessed with the night of all night. Insya Allah.

On Sports;

Great comeback makes Arsenal goes top in EPL; for now.

The young lads showed their composure to regain a one goal deficit and won the games with 3. It was even sweeter that this was our 2nd win on the road and against our bogey team, Bolton. Gunners have overcomed physical and psycho battle against two most physical team- Bolton and Blackburn and we managed to score 7 goals between them. woww.

This is a very very champion quality! 12 pts in 5 games and now we are leading the pack; at least for now. Go Gunners!!!

On Social life;

A get together with few old flame friends

last friday was a great occasion together. Bunch of us -class of 96 MCKK were reunited for our annual breaking fast. It was not the case of having the best food indeed the food was devilicious!but to be together for a day and enjoying each other company was mesmerising. Almost 40 of us (including wifeys and kids were there). I was given the honoured as the unofficial host (self- proclaimed) and even manage to get the others to get some kurma supply by force selling. Lucky my batchmate was generous enough to SBB ( support bumi business).

The rest of the day was filled with great conversation. From politics, changing new cars and getting new lenses were amongst the topic. It was fun to see everyone evolved from such ordinary school boys to great men in their respective fields and I indeed feel bless to get to know these people who would one day shake the nations like the other before us - (as you could hardly notice, the kingmakers of Malaysia politics nowadays are mostly budak koleq, :b)

On sports;

Young Guns showed some mantle. Arsenal 1 - 0 West Brom Albion

It was never the performance of the year and expectations was on the line for Arsenal in this 2008/2009 EPL campaign. Indeed the young guns know how to win ugly in order to survive another 36 games on the road. Samir Nasri was the talk of town with his goal on debut and I hope he could deliver more guns to the ailing gunner which is without great experiences in the side. "Arsene knows" might come to an ending if there is no silverware on the dock but Wenger must be all prepared with his witty and articulate answers to escape the sack. I believe in him... the same believe I have in him last year. Only this time i don’t want to end up in losing faith. Go Gooners!

p/s: It's not looking very well with my yahoo fantasy line up either. I manage to score 0 pts, zilch! For an error of not saving my line up, I have wasted a potential 100 pts on the line... sigh. A bad start eh?!


Badminton Single - Quest for immortality; an Olympic gold
The only hope of Malaysian gold medal conceded defeat in a very humbling style. I bet the pressure on Chong Wei was too much to handle as he was carrying the hope of all Malaysians. It would be a sweet 51st Merdeka celebrations but unfortunately it never come. For all his tireless effort in semifinal, he never can transform the same desire on the finale day. Ouch, Hurts a lot! Tactical errors (I believe he should have been more positive/attacking play), a lot of unforced errors which give Lin Dan easy points and most likely the pressure was so high as he was also fighting thousands of Lin Dan supporters at the venue kept him out of focus. Too bad he could never really show his true potential but I wish him the best to come and perhaps with this experience and the right attitude, he will achieve his dream in London 2012. God's will.

But perhaps the best to conclude Chong Wei effort is how the sport has broaden the integration amongst Malaysian and frankly; it showed that we need to rely on each other's shoulder in order to be successful as a nation. Misbun can be proud to have Chong Wei as his protege and both has shown that spirit of Malaysia Boleh can bring one to the top of the world. Syabas.

On Politics;

Permatang Pauh P.44 - Mother of all by elections!
This would be the biggest challenge for BN to date in rambling PKR's safest seat out of their hand. Even though another party also contesting for a 3 corner fights but it is clear this by election will see Anwar facing his former youth chief, Ariff Shah when Anwar himself was the Permatang Pauh UMNO division chief. Ariff Shah may not as popular as Anwar but indeed with a good 'serviceman' track records, he will give Anwar a good run of money. Definitely, both are confidence with a victory and Anwar seems to have an upper hand in his former constituency which has been 'kept' safe by his wife for the past 9 years.

The trend of voters on this by-election will reflect how much have the ‘rakyat’ responses to the recent GE. If the majority on Anwar's court rising, BN must identify their weakness and move forward while if the majority on Anwar is slimming, it is about time for Anwar to look into becoming a good MP rather than portraying himself as the next PM.

UiTM 10% quota issue
I wonder whether Tan Sri Khalid experienced sleepless night when he made his infamous ‘slip of the tongue’ about UiTM. To be caught in tangle with the students of UiTM who ‘bravely’ march themselves to the MB’s Office and delivered memorandum indeed was a new experience. I could not stop thinking why on earth Tan Sri Khalid wanted to make such statement in the first place. Worse, I am also pondering why UiTM in all ‘melatah teruk’ even as the PM himself stated that the MB doesn’t have any power on that policy. I am a product of ITM/UiTM. I believe in my potential and what has UiTM contributed in me as an asset of nation's human capital. Be it as a Young Officer in the reserves, a mechanical engineer by profession or as a silat cekak malaysia exponent.

And now the VC also caught in this ‘drama’ and is making worse to start legal action against the MB. Ohh my… tell me about it!

If I were the VC, this would be my response to the issue:

“Kita melihat apa yang diucapkan oleh Tan Sri MB sebagai suatu yang mampu memberi cabaran dan semangat kepada warga UiTM untuk membuktikan bahawa tanpa kemasukan pelajar bukan bumiputra pun, kita tetap setanding malah mampu lebih baik dari Institusi pengajian tinggi lain di negara ini.

Ia adalah satu cadangan, namun buat masa ini UiTM masih belum bersedia untuk membuka laluan kepada rakan2 kita yang lain kerana menyedari bahawa tanggungjawab sebagai institusi pengajian tunggal kepada bumiputra masih belum benar2 kita laksanakan secara menyeluruh.

Sehingga kita benar2 yakin bahawa golongan bumiputra telah berjaya diperjuangkan nasib mereka barulah cadangan seumpama itu boleh kita bincang dan pertimbangkan di masa akan datang."

Nah, kan mudah menjawabnya!
